Nathalie Walker


Nathalie Walker was appointed CEO of the DCU Educational Trust in August 2016. As CEO, Nathalie is responsible for the overall strategy and future development of the Educational Trust.

Pat Edmondson

Associate Director

Pat Edmondson joined DCU Educational Trust in August 2016. Her role as Associate Director focuses on the development, cultivation and stewarding of a portfolio of both individual and corporate relationships.

Georgina Garford

Prospect Research Manager

Georgina Garford joined the DCU Educational Trust in June 2013. As Prospect Research Manager, Georgina is responsible for identifying and researching potential major gift donors including alumni, individuals, corporations and foundations.

Orla Holmes

Director of Operations

Orla Holmes joined the DCU Educational Trust in 2001. As Director of Operations, Orla oversees the daily operations of the Trust team including the event management of donor recognition undertakings, benefactor receptions, fundraising briefings and special events.

Nina Johnson

Executive PA to CEO

Nina joined the DCU Educational Trust in March 2017 as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. She is a key representative of the CEO and the DCU Educational Trust within the university as well as to friends and supporters of the organisation.

Liz Logan

Development Manager – Regular Giving

Liz Logan joined DCU Educational Trust in April 2017. As Development Manager, Liz is responsible for strengthening the Trust’s regular giving programme by developing the existing Annual Fund and Leadership Circle Programme, as well as managing a portfolio of individual relationships.

Sinead Murphy

Communications Manager

Sinéad Murphy joined the DCU Educational Trust in January 2017. As Communications Manager, she is responsible for the development and implementation of communications strategy to promote the vision of the organisation and its role in support of the University’s strategic objectives.

Plunkett Tormay ACA CTC

Head of Finance

Plunkett Tormay joined the DCU Educational Trust in April 2014. As Head of Finance Plunkett has responsibility for all financial aspects of DCUET. His role includes the preparation of management accounts, budgets and year end financial statements for the Trust.

Ms Claire Whelehan-Pettibone

Director of Philanthropy

Claire Whelehan joined the DCU Educational Trust in September 2005. Her current role as Director of Philanthropy is to develop and maintain a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation relationships. Claire works closely with the Chief Executive to further the mission and objectives of the university through external funding and offers guidance in establishing and implementing a wide range of advancement policies and procedures.

Lesley Dugan

CASE Graduate Intern

Lesley Dugan joined the DCU Educational Trust in September 2017. She is one of twelve Trainee Graduates employed on the CASE Europe Graduate Scheme 2017/18. The scheme provides Lesley with a fully rounded view of fundraising within Higher Education. DCU are proud to participate in the scheme together with ten other institutions across the UK and Ireland.

Méabh O’Carroll joined the Educational Trust in October 2017. As Stewardship and Events Officer, Méabh is responsible for developing and implementing the Trust’s donor engagement programme and managing a range of events, internships and scholarship programmes.

Development Executive - Trusts and Foundations

Sheena McLoughlin joined DCU Educational Trust in December 2017. As Development Executive, Sheena is responsible for developing and delivering fundraising proposals to trusts and foundations, and for developing a portfolio of individual prospects and donors.

Tara Byrne joined the DCU Educational Trust team in March 2018. As Office Assistant, Tara provides general secretarial, administrative and event delivery support to ensure the smooth running of the Trust’s day to day operations.
