Fáilte ar Líne – Learn Irish Online

Large numbers of first, second and third generations of the Irish diaspora are enthusiastic about learning the Irish language. Leveraging our recognised expertise in e-learning technology, DCU will make Irish language learning accessible to everyone, anywhere in the world. Through this unique and innovative programme, participants will be able to progress from beginner level to complete a degree in the Irish language – entirely online.

The project will support a dedicated development team of language specialists, technologists and researchers to create this state-of-the-art programme. It is envisaged that ‘Learn Irish Online’ will not only support global engagement with the language, but it will also help to create a social network of Irish diaspora communities.
